		<description>I have just had a thought using the same process you could make one of the old metal coal boxes. They used to be the same colour and the box had a hinged lid. To save buying hinges all you need is use a piece of material stiffened with the glue then when dried glue in place to the lid and body of the box. If i have time I will try and make one sometime soon.</description>

thank you for that DIY tip. I always use sample pots.The period paints that are available are perfect for victorian or geogian projects because the paint manufactureres use a chalky base which gives the authentic opaque look. Modern paints are polymers or acrylics and are often too shiny.
